Hotel Ariotto Village

We've stayed at the Ariotto a few times while visiting friends. It is an excellent hotel. Rooms are large, clean and if not modern, then charming and with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The area is quiet, and there are great views across the Monferrato hills. We've never had dinner here but the breakfast is excellent. There is plenty of choice, the food is tasty and service is friendly and helpful. Most staff speak some English and are happy to help. They are also (like a lot of places in Italy) very dog friendly and were super helpful when we brought ours with us. Very much recommend people if they are looking for a local place to stay.

Our first impression was not good - the hotel looked very abandoned and it was obvious it took a hard hit during corona. However - the rooms are probably the best we have seen. Air condition works perfect and the room is spacious. We booked a double deluxe room with terrasse. Pool area is super clean and very nice. No bugs in the pool. Sun beds are similar to most hotels in Italy. We stayed here all day! Also - there is a lifeguard at the pool, very observant of the kids. The restaurant however was not anything particular. It was an okay dinner, service was super good - even though the waiter didn’t speak much English. This place is perfect for families because of the pool - I do recommend to book an apartment with kitchen if you stay longer. Also to do a little grocery shopping before hand, since there is not really any larger supermarkets nearby. At the time we stay(august) pretty much all restaurants nearby are closed, so only option for food is the hotel restaurant which only serve breakfast and dinner. Reservation is needed for dinner. Which is also why I recommend during a little grocery shopping at beforehand. Hotel staff service was really nice. We booked through their website, but ended up changing our plans and shortening our stay because of limited options for dining. We didn’t get charged extra - which i think was really nice of them considering the times. I only give 4 stars because of the restaurant. If the menu had been better I would had given 5.

We had a wonderful experience over 5-days staying in the lovely country area of Piemonte in the family owned Hotel Ariotto. We were very happy with our accommodations and certainly being in the country you have to let your your worries go away and just enjoy the beautiful Rolling Hills of the wine country in Monferrato! We had dinner in the hotel 2 nights and each time it was an intimate and special occasion. The food was fantastic! All hand made here in the kitchen. I highly recommend Hotel Ariotto for a beautiful and relaxed vacation in the country away from the stress of Milan!!! We will certainly be back and bring our friends!
